Parvo Home Remedy is the site for anyone who wants to treat their parvo-afflicted puppy at home. If you’re unsure whether you should treat your puppy at home or take it to a vet, read my post entitled “Vet Clinic vs. Home Treatment.”
My name is Masaleen. I live in Chicago, IL. In November 2008 my then-six-month old Golden Retriever, Haley, contracted parvo. Because I couldn’t afford to keep her in the hospital for a week or more (and because this was not even a guarantee of her survival), I went the route of healing her at home using holistic medicines.
Doctors told me (with sad, disappointed faces as I took her out of the hospital) she would probably die that day…but she survived. She is now happy and healthy.
I created this website because I want to give you hope. I want to give hope to those with parvo-infected puppy owners who love their puppy very, very much but can’t afford medical bills. You CAN save your puppy. If you take the right steps, its chances of survival are high. The work required to heal a parvo puppy isn’t pretty or easy, but if you really love your puppy, healing can happen. I can say that for me, the enegy, time, and money (yes, of course there was some money involved!) I put into Haley was worth it. I hate to think of the emptiness I would have felt if I’d lost her (when I was 16 my 1-year old puppy was stolen from me – I know what the loss of a pet feels like).
But…I’ve only healed one puppy. I’m not a vet. I’m not a dog expert, a parvo expert, or any kind of medical expert. What I’m good at is finding helpful sites online to direct you to, and researching and putting together valuable information so that YOU have the information you need to heal your puppy. Everything I write is what I wished I’d known when my puppy had parvo. Please do not rely on my site alone to heal your dog, but on a combination of the sites I list in the Links section, especially Wolf Creek Ranch, who I can almost wholly credit for helping me heal my dog.
